COLLECTION OR POSTAL ORDERS

Our dahlia tubers started off as rooted cuttings which were taken from our mother stock and then planted in our fields  hopefully the first/second week of June if the weather allows, these plants then go on to produce a good flowering plant through the summer and early autumn until the first frosts. After the plants have been frosted we then start the process of hand digging  up the plants which hopefully have produced  tubers ,which then get washed and dried ready for us to sell. Through out the growing season all plants are checked regularly to make sure they are the right variety and that they all look healthy.

(Please note all of our plants are grown in peat free compost before planting out)

OUR MOTHER STOCK (tubers that we take our cuttings from)  are tubers that we have trialled by growing for many years before we add the variety to our catalogue, some of which has come from other growers in England and European growers that we know and can trust with there plant health along with varieties that we have produced ourselves through hybridization.

Our dahlia field can be viewed throughout the summer.

HOW TO ORDER

A full tuber availability list will be added to our catalogue page on the website from

10th February 2026 for the placing of orders to be posted or collected from the nursery.

• Our tubers are £5.99 each supplied in paper bags with a label and information sheet. (no fancy packaging) . All dahlias produce different size tubers, but a tuber the size of a thumb nail will provide just as much if not more flowering than a large tuber.
• (The only time when size does not matter)

Orders can be placed from 10th February onward. An order form can be downloaded from our website or sent on any piece of paper with all the information we require as viewed on our order form page.

            Credit/Debit cards will be charged on placing your order

       Orders can be emailed to us and we will contact you for payment

(please note if this is a postal order please include your full postal address and post code)

  Orders can either be posted at a standard charge of £8.99 with royal mail second class for any amount of tubers posted (plus the cost of the tubers) or can be collected from our Nursery once you have been contacted by us either by the phone number or email you have provided.

We aim to dispatch orders within a fortnight.

We regret that we are unable to post to the Eu or Ireland.

Our Guarantee

Any tuber which fails to  grow should be returned to us   by the end of April . A replacement tuber will be supplied or we can replace with a rooted cutting or a full refund for the tuber only. (we are always happy to guide customers over the phone with there growing. (A tuber that has started to rot or rotten is not the fault of the supplier just over watered by the customer).

General sale of tubers at our Nursery

Customers not wishing to place an order for tubers can purchase tubers from our nursery when they go out for general sale from 24th February onwards.

ROOTED CUTTINGS (MINI PLANTS) £4.65 each

COLLECTION OR POSTAL ORDERS.

These can be ordered from our catalogue page

These are cuttings that we have taken from the mother tubers and produced a strong rooted plug that when you receive them will need to be potted up into 9cm pots in a good free draining compost and kept under cover ( minimum temperature 10 degrees centigrade) for  approx. 3 weeks before planting out when the frosts have passed. These plants will give you full flowering in the same season and produce a tuber by the end of the season. (We use this option to plant in our fields to produce the tubers we sell)

HOW TO ORDER

Orders for rooted cuttings can be placed up to 31st January 2026. we start to dispatch orders either by post or collection from the nursery from the end of April onwards.

All of our rooted cuttings are £4.65 each. (minimum order value £12.00 not including the postal cost if required.)

Customers wishing to collect there order from the nursery, will be contacted when there order is ready by either phone or our preferred method email .

Customers wishing to have there order posted

All of our rooted cuttings are posted 1st class with royal mail , with a standard charge of £8.95 for any amount of plants posted. Customers will be contacted when there order is being dispatched. It is very important that we are notified of any holidays etc around the end of April beginning of May as we can not be responsible if your order is delivered and we have not been notified.

How to place an order for rooted cuttings and

(10.5cm garden ready plants)

Orders can be placed up to 31st January 2026 for rooted cuttings and 28th February for garden ready plants, by either downloading our order form on our website and posting it to us with payment or If customers are unable to download our order form, we are happy for orders to be posted on any piece of paper as long  as all the details we require are on there. We are also happy for orders to be emailed to us and we will contact customers for payment.

WE ARE SORRY WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT ORDERS BY PHONE

Card payment.  If customers are not happy to put there card details on the order form, we will contact customers for payment. (but please ensure that all details are on the order form as required, such as full postal address and postcode.

Substitutes  As we are dealing with nature and not manufacturing our plants from metal etc, should we not be able to supply a certain variety because the tubers have not provided enough cutting material its important to mark on the order form if you are happy for subs or not. We are happy for customers to give us some ideas for substitutes or we will be happy to sub with a similar form or colour plant.

Our Guarantee

We have been taken cuttings for over 20 years with excellent results, therefore we will only supply plants that  will give our customers good results and for them to   enjoy there dahlias. All orders come with an information sheet which is important to follow with our advise for anyone who has not grown dahlias from cuttings before. We are always happy to give extra advise over the phone or by email. We cannot be responsible should your dahlias fail at a later date. (The most common problem is customers over watering there young plants)

Postal orders on arrival your order should be opened straight away. should you not be satisfied with your order, please contact us straight away and return the plants immediately if the issue cannot be resolved from pictures  sent by email first. We will offer a full refund for the plants only. All of our plants are carefully packed .

GARDEN READY DAHLIA PLANTS IN 10.5CM POTS

COLLECTION FROM THE NURSERY ONLY.

These can be ordered from our catalogue page,

These are potted up rooted cuttings in 10.5 cm pots in peat free compost. A well established plant which will give the customer full flowering in the same season and produce a tuber.

We start to dispatch these plants  to customers from the beginning of June onwards. These plants can then be planted straight out Into the garden or into larger containers.

HOW TO ORDER

GARDEN READY PLANTS ARE £9.50 EACH. Orders to be placed by 28th February Orders can be placed in the same way as ordering rooted cuttings.  Please  see above section (how to order rooted cuttings and garden ready plants).

LARGE POTTED DAHLIAS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE AT THE NURSERY AT THE BEGINNING OF MAY
